The Benefits Microdermabrasion Can Have for You

by Sara Kitch

As much as we would like to avoid them, acne scars, fine wrinkles and sunspots are all potential skin problems. Fortunately there are remedies. In the effort to improve and eliminate these skin conditions, you should try microdermabrasion treatments.

What Are Microdermabrasion Treatments?

Microdermabrasion is the process of using light abrasion to partially or completely remove the stratum corneum, the dead outermost surface of the skin. It can be performed in day spas, doctors' offices, or in the privacy of your own home

The Three Different Microdermabrasion Application Techniques

Crystal Microdermabrasion

Crystal Microdermabrasion systems are the traditional treatment of choice. In this procedure a special hand held device blows a high speed flow of aluminum oxide microcrystals onto the outermost layer of the skin. The exfoliation process occurs from these microcrystals. A separate part of this device simultaneously vacuums away dirt, dead cells, and used crystals. Two aspects to this method help significantly. The crystals' irregular shape makes them an effective abrader while its aluminum oxide component is the second hardest mineral after diamonds.

Diamond Microdermabrasion

Here a disposable or reusable diamond tipped wand is used as the abrading agent. By using this wand, the possibility of free flying crystals accidentally hitting sensitive areas of the face is removed. The tipped wand has a better rate of precision because it is made in different shapes and sizes. The downside for both these methods is a minimum of 6 to 12 application sessions that have to be conducted at a medical clinic or a day spa. These are hour long sessions costing hundreds of dollars. Thankfully there is a cheaper and more time effective skin microdermabrasion cream.

At Home Microdermabrasion

The newest development in skin resurfacing products is that there is now a microdermabrasion cream that is able to be applied at home. In particular if the cream is made of all natural ingredients, it can produce long lasting results on top of being easy to apply. What a microdermabrasion cream does is it leaves a 'polished' look to your face after it abrades the surface of your skin using tiny particles. After repeated use a discolored or scarred skin surface is gradually removed. The enhancement of the surface skin cell turnover and the collagen and elastin self replenishment are two of its most effective microdermabrasion results.

A microdermabrasion skin cream called BIOSKINEXFOL has all natural biological skin regenerating activators that further stimulate new skin cells to replace the old and damaged ones. The main ingredient in this cream is snail serum (Helix Aspersa Muller). It has powerful skin renewal effects that can be applied to humans because its cells, molecules and structures are compatible with ours. BIOSKINEXFOL is therefore the perfect microdermabrasion cream to both wash away the old and damaged skin surface while simultaneously help to regenerate healthy skin cells.
